Falls in the northern
Black Hills. It's one of the coolest
places to get married in the
Rocky Mountains. The area is
open to the public. Many people
go there to have picnics, look
at the water and wild trout, and
to get married. The falls are surrounded
by ancient limestone cliffs and ponderosa
pine tree forests. The entire mountain range
is held sacred by the Lakota.
There is no charge
to have a wedding at Roughlock Falls.
It's free. Ministers and a photographer (me)
are available most year. But, the falls and
the road are snowed in during winter.
I'll be happy to snowshoe or cross
country ski in at that time, but finding
a willing minister then can be a little
